Friday Funnies…

I don’t know about you, but I sure need a good laugh after this week.

After watching the news nightly it’s hard not feel really concerned about our economy. I recently read this and it made me laugh.  Truly laughter is the best medicine.

Enjoy and have a blessed weekend!

You know the economy is really bad when....

☻CEO's are now playing miniature golf.

☻You got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.

☻You went to buy a toaster oven and they gave you a bank.

☻Officials from the Obama administration meet with small businesses — GE, Pfizer, Chrysler, Citigroup, and GM — to discuss the Stimulus Package.

☻Mothers in China are telling their children to clean their plates because children are starving in America.

☻McDonald's is selling the Quarter-Ouncer.

☻People in Beverly Hills have fired their nannies and are learning the names of their own children.

☻The bank returns your check marked as "Insufficient Funds" and you call them to ask if they meant you or themselves!

Join us today over at the Homesteaders Heart for more laughter.smile_teeth

  1. Funny and sad at the same time. I too am concerned about the direction the economy is going and the growing deficit spending of the government.

In spite of all that, God is in control!

    Blessings

  9. I love these! I hope I can remember some of them to share with friends. I particularly was amused by the CEO's playing miniature golf. Oh, and the one about the Quarter-Councer. And the mothers in China! I appreciate this good laugh, Susan. Always in order.

Doing okay, here. Hope you are too. Hope Jordan's situation is okay. Praying for you folks.

  10. I am all for laughter. It heals the soul. I know God made it for a reason and I grab on to it whenever I can.

    You are special to me.

  11. Praying in Seattle!
Psalms 59:16-17 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

  12. Lol, Susan. Everyone can certainly relate to these! Did you write the lines below the cartoon?

This was the best: The bank returns your check marked as "Insufficient Funds" and you call them to ask if they meant you or themselves!

Thanks for stopping by my place earlier. Life is busy but good. We're enjoying the sunny weather here... short road trips, mini-golf, BBQs etc. I love summer!
    So how are you, grammy?
