Saints

The theme for this week challenge at I Heart Faces  was Photojournalism.  Using an images, or images to tell a story.

One of the greatest stories this year was seeing the Saints win the Super Bowl!

It truly was the year of the “Who ‘Dat Nation”.

Right or Wrong?

WFWlogo

WFW6

There are many wrong ways to do something:

Indifferently: I have no interest in doing it.

Stubbornly: I won’t do it.

Independently: I’ll do it my own way.

Rebelliously: I’ll do the opposite.

Disobediently: I’ll do it, but not exactly.

Slothfully: I’ll do it with as little effort as possible.

Lazily: I’ll do it when I get around to it.

Selfishly: I’ll do it if there’s something in it for me?

Irresponsibly: I’ll let someone else do it.

Negatively: I’ll do it, but why does it have to be me?

Ungratefully: I’ll do it, but don’t expect me to be happy.

(by Roy Lessin)

Then there are right ways:

Wholeheartedly: Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men. Colossians 3:24

Joyfully: Serve the LORD with gladness. Psalm 100:2

Faithfully: “Well done, good and faithful servant”. Matthew 25:21

Ladies, I’m guilty of all of these wrong attitudes at one time or other in my life.  But my goal is to always do them wholeheartedly, joyfully and faithfully.

Lord, forgive me for the times my heart was not in the task that was asked of me.  Give me the grace daily to examine my heart and do what it takes to make it right before you.  Let my testimony and witness be one that brings glory and honor to your name.

Please join us today over at the Cafe for more awesome WFW posts.  I promise you, you’ll be so encouraged by each one of them.

Project 365-My Week In Pictures

Shoes1

After rushing out to the gym extra early and still a little sleepy, my husband showed me when he got back home he put these mismatched shoes in his gym bag.  He assured me he stayed in his office most of the day.  Well, it was Monday, what do you expect?

tues9

Spent a nice time in one of my favorite stores today.  It was a beautiful summer evening.

Wed7

I took this picture when my beautiful granddaughter came out to spend her last day with me before school started.

Thursday6

My son Jordan and I went to the Give Thanks Walk kick-off meeting in preparation for this upcoming event in November.  My son is a patient at St. Jude.  We love to take any opportunity to give back whenever possible.

If you are interested here is a link to Jordan’s page!

Friday7

After playing a hard game of tennis with his dad and older brother, my son took a much needed  break from the heat!

Beautiful collage

Oh my, what a weekend.  My girlfriend and I went to the Beautiful Conference.  Angela Thomas was just incredible and Kari Jobe lead us into the throne room of God with her anointed worship.  What an inspiring time we shared together.  I even got to meet and get a picture with Angela, and I was tickled pink!

Sun5

And to end a perfect week, I spent the whole day with my family and the joy of my life, my precious grandchildren.

I’ve been thinking…

WFWlogo

WFW9

To meditate on God’s works and His Word requires more then a hurried or casual glance.

The word "meditation" in Hebrew means to speak or to mutter.

As we focus on all the wonderful things God has done for us, and share them with others, our faith is strengthened.

The more time we spend in the Word; the deeper our appreciation will be for all that God has done.

Take time today to consider His mighty deeds!

Mon8

Well our week started out with a deluge of rain!  The storm drains filled up so fast, and before I knew it my son’s car was flooded.  It is still in the shop getting repaired!  Oh my…

Tues6

My granddaughter has officially fell in love with the Zhu Zhu pet toy hamsters!  She has been waiting a long time for the "girl one”.

Wed8

I went to the playground to let Grace use up some of that never-ending energy.  Of course, we waited until later in afternoon when it cooled off…somewhat!

Thurs8

Caesar finds the craziest ways to sleep!  Oh, to have the life of a cat.

Friday5

Had my granddaughters over for the weekend.  Grace wanted to play “dress up” in Grammy’s clothes.

Sat8

My second granddaughter, Kayla, is starting kindergarten this year.  She was so proud to show me her uniform and school bag.  Where has the time gone?  It seems like only yesterday we were holding her in the hospital for the first time!

Sun7

Took my grands and our neighbor’s daughter to the show.  We went to see “Cats & Dogs”.  What grandparents are willing to endure!

“Girl in the Window”

IMG_7495ed

The theme this week at I Heart Faces is “Surprise”.

While I was out shopping this weekend, I didn’t realize it, but my two granddaughters where having some fun in a store front window modeling like live mannequins!

When I noticed what they were doing I immediately grabbed my camera and took this shot.

The man passing by the store was so surprised when he looked in the window and saw my little actress.

I thought this was hilarious!!

Now go check out some other surprises here!
