Welcome to Word Filled Wednesday...I am delighted once again to be your hostess.
The purpose of Word filled Wednesday is to share God’s word (no famous quotes or other literature — only the beautiful Word of our God) through photo’s & a Bible verse!
Amy over at 160 Acre Woods started this wonderful meme.
MckLinky is below so you can join us.
I recently read this amazing verse in the book of Zechariah. Zerubbabel had just returned from exile and found the temple at Jerusalem in ruins.
After seeing this, he was broken and desired to rebuild the temple.
It was a slow process, and some of the obstacles he faced were that many mocked him and his resources were scarce. I can only imagine how discouraged Zerubbabel must have felt.
Yet he knew what God had commissioned him to do, and that God would somehow make a way.
Have you ever felt like you had a mountain to move? Maybe you are staring at one this morning!
Victory comes not only through our faith, but also by God’s mighty Spirit that works on our behalf. I loved the word that God spoke to Zerubbabel when He said;
Victory comes not only through our faith, but also by God’s mighty Spirit that works on our behalf. I loved the word that God spoke to Zerubbabel when He said;
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.”
Look at your mountain today in the light of God’s awesome power and it won’t look so huge. Just like Zerubbabel, shout to your mountain, “Grace, grace to it”. This is calling for God’s enabling power to move your mountain.
“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23
When God tells you to do something, He will supply the grace you need to finish it. It’s all about your perspective in the light of God’s mighty power!
Thank you for this wonderful reminder of God's grace. There are several mountains in front of my right now but you have reminded and strengthened my to start up this side one step at a time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mountain, yes, God is everywhere. Amen!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan~ Zech 4:6 has been one of my life verses - and yet, reading it again on your post, it was a fresh Word from the Lord concerning the mountain we are facing. Thanks for posting it today...

ReplyDeleteBlessings sweet Susan...I believe, I receive...MOUNTAINS BE MOVED in the Name of Jesus and by HIS Grace!
ReplyDeleteGreat verse and words of faith and encouragement to the many in blog land facing unfathomable mountains like Melanie & Andrew yet her faith is so strong! Yet we stand firm in agreement and say "MOVE that MOUNTAIN".
Thank you Susan! Thanks for the uplifting WFW and hosting today!
That mountain scene is breathetaking, is it from your son, the risk taker adventurer?
Whatever the mountain BE that you or any of our WFW face, may we say "not by might, nor by power but by Your Spirit, O LORD...may each and every mountain crumble under Your awesome power & may we glorify Your Name!
Learning to speak to mountains with you!

Amen! Only God can move mountains! After all, He made them. And yes, indeed, He will move our mountains. Oh, how we need to trust Him more. It's easy to say the words, but I pray for more faith to believe them.
