This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Live Simulcast of Beth Moore's new book, So Long Insecurity.  

For months I've been watching the calendar and waiting for the big day!   I met my daughter-in-love there and two other dear friends.   From the anointed praise and worship until the very last words that were prayed, I was so encouraged and richly blessed.

Beth shared how difficult this past year had been for her and out of that, this book was born.  We learned so much as we poured over the word and listened to so many powerful illustrations and testimonies about what it means to live as a secure woman in Christ.

She taught us from the acrostic SECURE. 

S - Saved from herself

Our own insecurities are our biggest enemies!

E - Entitled to truth

God’s word of truth brings true freedom.

C - Clothed with intention

We must deliberately put off the old and put on the new!

U - Upended by grace

Grace those around you, like Christ as graced you!

R - Rebounded by love

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.

E - Exceptional in life

We can be the exception; we can stand out in our culture!

Here is my grandson, Cole.  As the mother of 5 son’s I've really enjoy having my grand-daughters. 

But… then came a grandSON.  Oh my, he just captured my heart!  He has the sweetest personality.  Grammy loves you Cole.

Project 365-My Week In Pictures

 

 

 

 

After a long harsh winter, we didn’t see any hope of our Queen Palm coming back.  Many of our neighbors just cut them down.  My husband kept hoping and praying.  What a JOY it brought to his eyes to see the new growth!  Behold all things become new!

 

My sweet precious Jordan!  We went for a walk the other day.  I asked him to to pose for me.  What a great smile from a huge heart.  Love my Jordan.

 

 

Each year we look forward to the Relay for Life.  This year we were invited to attend the Kick-off event.  Jordan is a brain tumor survivor and we look forward to celebrating that victory by taking the Survivors Lap each year.

 

My beautiful granddaughter Kayla loves riding her bike and just learned how to ride it without her training wheels!  Oh my, she just turned 5 and I’m so impressed.

 

Loving all those roses that are blooming like crazy around our house these days.  Praise God for Spring time!

 

What a special day I had with my daughter-in-love as we attended the Beth Moore conference along with two other ladies from my Bible Study group.  We soaked in some powerful words!

 

  

Here is our famous cat Caesar; always “on watch” for us.  I was not a cat person until my son Joseph brought this little kitten home one day eight years ago.  From the first day we got him, he followed me around.  I tried my hardest to resist.  What can I say, he got me!

Standing Still

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the midst of all the busyness we find ourselves involved in every day, it was so refreshing to see this awesome scripture displayed.  It reminded me of how I need to stop and be still before the Lord each day. 

Only then can He usher me into a place of perfect peace. 

This verse is not a mere a suggestion, but rather a command by the Psalmist calling everyone to contemplate the awesome power and glory of God. 

God is truly our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble.

I challenge you today to take time to stand still before the Lord.  He’s there waiting for you.

“Lord, forgive me for the many times I try to rush into my day without spending time before your throne.  I know it's in stillness that I find true peace and strength for the journey ahead. Help me to use this time to examine my heart and discover who you desire to me to be.”

This picture was taken one evening in our hotel room during our Easter vacation to Disney.  Karli watched her older sister Kayla get her princess make-over earlier that day, and decided she would not be outdone.  When I caught her she had a huge smile on her precious little face.  She was so proud as she said, “Look Grammy, I am beautiful”!  Oh, the joys of watching my granddaughters grow up.  Truly one of the sweetest shots ever.

Project 365- My Week In Pictures

 

 

 

These pictures were taken from our recent vacation to Disney World.  It was really hard choosing one per day.  Had a great time and made some wonderful memories.

The day Kayla became a princess on her 5th birthday.  This was so exciting and special for her!!  Isn’t she just lovely?

 

Oh my, could there be any more excitement packed in Cole’s expression?  Our future Luke Skywalker kept us all smiling.
