Sweet Shot Tuesday

Took my granddaughters to spend the day in New Orleans.  We had fun down in the French Quarter.  After a wonderful lunch with my son and his girlfriend we went over to Jackson Square.

I love spending time watching them together.

Project 365 My Week In Pictures

ProjectLifeTuesdayButton

Monday

Caught a tender moment as my granddaughters were holding hands.  I pray they will always remain this close.

Tuesday

While we were in New Orleans we decided to pass by one of my father’s rental properties.  The little balcony on the side of this house was where I saw him waving good-bye to me for the last time.  It’s been many years since that wonderful day.  A memory I’ll cherish in my heart forever.

Wednesday

Was taking some pictures of Grace and she decided to take a break.  She starting to look so grown up.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with my husband’s family. It’s not very often I have all of my 5 sons together in one place.   Had  a wonderful day.  Lots of delicious food and fellowship.    The day could of not ended better with the Saints victory over Dallas. All the men were cheering them on.   Yes, the Who Dat Nation was very excited and proud.

Friday

After many years of buying real Christmas trees we decided to buy an artificial tree this year.  After shopping around, we found one we really liked.  No more putting all those lights on the tree.  My husband was thrilled.

Saturday

We finished decorating the tree, and were really happy with the way it turned out.  Can you tell it’s an artificial?  No more watering and needles on the floor.

Sunday

Now, this picture was taken several Sunday’s ago.   My sweet neighbor and fellow photographer blessed us by taking some family photo’s.  She did such a GREAT job!   I just loved the way she captured these expressions!

Project 365- My Week In Pictures

Monday

Well, here was a great way to start my week, spending time with my sweet grandson, Cole.  Now, if that smile doesn’t brighten your day nothing will.

Tuesday

Went to the mall with my granddaughters and was so surprised to see it had turned to Christmas everywhere!  Oh my…no complaints here.   We were thrilled.

Wednesday

My son Jordan won the “Customer Must Win” award for the month at his job.  This award is for those who are the most helpful to the customers.  Jordan loves helping people and it shows in his smile.  We were so proud of him!

Thursday

We discovered a new public park and playground that just opened near our home.  We’ll be taking the granddaughter there often.  It was a gorgeous day, and they loved the new park.

Friday

Caught my little Cole having a blast on the swings.  Keep going higher, and higher he said.  What little boy doesn’t love an adventure?

St Jude Walk 11-20-10

Saturday we participated in our first “Give Thanks 5K Walk” for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  It was so wonderful to gather with our friends who came out to support Team Jordan!  We double our team goal for this fund raiser, and all together the event raised $100,000.00.  It’s always so good to have an opportunity to give back to such a wonderful cause after they have taken such great care of our son.

Sunday

Took the girls and met our son Joseph for lunch in the French Quarter.  It’s been a long time since we had the chance to spend some time together.  What a beautiful afternoon it was down by the river.

Thanks so much for joining us today.  God Bless.

.Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!

Monday

After 6 long, long months of waiting for Jordan’s next MRI at St. Jude, the day finally arrived.  As always, it’s a long and difficult day for my son.  He has to be sedated for his scans, which means fasting is required.  Because of some emergencies, he was pushed back to last on the table.  Waiting until 4:00pm seemed like FOREVER.

Tuesday

After receiving our GREAT news that his brain tumor had remained stable, Jordan was excited to go visit the therapy dogs.  He fell in love with Flicker!

Wednesday

We flew home on Wednesday.  It was a quick visit this time, but we were so relieved and blessed to go home with a good report.  Good-bye St. Jude for another 6 months!

Thursday

Caught my husband outside on the backyard swing on this beautiful fall evening.  Didn’t think he expected me to snap this shot.

Friday

My silly little Kayla having fun on the trampoline.

Saturday

As you can see, we are big LSU fans!  It was “Game Day” in Baton Rouge.  My two sons had tickets and went to the game.  They had a blast down at Tiger Stadium for the Homecoming game.

Sunday

I did a photo shoot for Erica and Will.  It was my first time trying my hand at a maternity shoot.  Gosh, I was so nervous about how they would come, but in the end we got some good ones!

Thanks so much for dropping by today.  Please join us over here for more projects!

How do you spell relief?

With a great deal of joy and a heart of gratitude, I’m here to share the good news from Jordan’s latest scans.  His tumor is stable.

For those of you who don’t know, Jordan was dx with a brain tumor at the age of 16, and has been a patient at St. Jude since that time.

We are now five years post radiation treatment now.

Jordan goes every 6 months for scans and testing.  We have never taken his health for granted.  Needless to say, every visit back to the hospital is filled with much anxiety concern and many emotions!

God has used Jordan’s journey to teach us so many lessons about walking by faith. On many occasions, the Lord has also opened some amazing doors of ministry to other families we have met along the way.

Thanks for your prayers and sharing in our journey.

Yes, the Lord has done GREAT things for all of us!

Sweet Shot Tuesday

Had my granddaughters over for the weekend.  While I was in the kitchen preparing lunch, my sweet Karli decided she want to help her Grammy.  So, she put on her apron and grabbed her pot.

She looked so precious, I just had to get my camera and take a few shots of her sweet little smile!

She is truly the “queen of my kitchen”!

Thursday

Jordan playing around with his favorite gadget. He loves checking Facebook on his i-Touch.

Friday

I’ve really been into baking these days, which is not a good thing.  Angel food is now a new favorite.  Zero fat grams! (we won’t mention the sugar part!)

Saturday

My sweet neighbor took some family shots of my grand's.  We thought it would be fun to get a shot of my baby camera and I.  Thanks Debra, you did a great job! I’ll be posting those photo’s later!

Sunday

My daughter-in-love brought this precious new outfit for Cole.  I just had to get a picture of him in it!  I  love this little boy to pieces.
