There are many wrong ways to do something:
Indifferently: I have no interest in doing it.
Stubbornly: I won’t do it.
Independently: I’ll do it my own way.
Rebelliously: I’ll do the opposite.
Disobediently: I’ll do it, but not exactly.
Slothfully: I’ll do it with as little effort as possible.
Lazily: I’ll do it when I get around to it.
Selfishly: I’ll do it if there’s something in it for me?
Irresponsibly: I’ll let someone else do it.
Negatively: I’ll do it, but why does it have to be me?
Ungratefully: I’ll do it, but don’t expect me to be happy.

Then there are right ways:
Wholeheartedly: Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men. Colossians 3:24
Joyfully: Serve the LORD with gladness. Psalm 100:2
Faithfully: “Well done, good and faithful servant”. Matthew 25:21
Ladies, I’m guilty of all of these wrong attitudes at one time or other in my life. But my goal is to always do them wholeheartedly, joyfully and faithfully.
Lord, forgive me for the times my heart was not in the task that was asked of me. Give me the grace daily to examine my heart and do what it takes to make it right before you. Let my testimony and witness be one that brings glory and honor to your name.
