A Perfect Plan

wfw-2008sm

fall7

The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.  (Psalm 28:7)

I don’t know about you, but without Jesus by my side upholding, defending and strengthening me, I would be totally lost!

Isn’t it wonderful to know that Jesus is both our strength and shield in times of trouble?  He lovingly holds all the pieces of our lives together today, and has a great and perfect plan for our tomorrow.

As we conclude the Beth Moore study on The Book of Esther this week, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for all that I’ve learned during these past nine weeks.

As part of our homework, we drew a diagram with equal sides that helped us understand the balance of how God’s providence works in our lives.

God not only promised that He “works out everything” (Eph. 1:11) “according to His good purpose” (Phil. 2:13), but He also promised that “in all things God works for our good” (Rom. 8:28).

My heart greatly rejoices today as I reflect on how we like Esther, have  been chosen for such a time as this!

Please join us today over at Christy’s Critty Joy for more WFW!

I must take a look at Esther by Beth Moore soon...

Yes, God works all things for good. How He does it is really a mystery. e-Dad and I were talking about how Joseph was sold into slavery, and his remark to his 12 brothers much later (paraphrase) "You meant it for evil, God used it for good."

Also, I think about the OT story of the line of Christ, and how Satan kept trying to thwart God's plan to bring a Redeemer. The enemy probably he had won the battle when Jesus was crucified. He didn't count on the resurrection, did he?

It's so comforting to know and trust that God has a perfect plan. Even when in our fallen world, things go wrong, God can and will restore peace and order. Hallelujah!

Thanks for your great post. LOL, you got me going...

Have a blessed WFW, Susan. (((Hugs)))

Praying!
II Corinthians 1:3-4: Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Continuing to pray!
II Samuel 22:29-33 For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
