What’s in your mouth?

fall-leaves2

David said, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

A thankful heart should be a way of life for us.

A thankful heart does two things:

  • It builds your faith

The reason “we [can] walk by faith [and] not by sight (2Co 5:7), is because we know that regardless of the circumstances, God’s working on our behalf (See Ro 8:28).

  • It restores life.

Before raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father…thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me” (Jn 11:41-42).

Something wonderful happens when you start thanking God for saving, protecting and providing for you!

So let’s remember to praise and bless God each and every day!  Is there something you can thank Jesus for now?

I want to give a great big shout-out to Teresa who hosted a wonderful give-a-way that I recently won!   The prize was a $50.00 gift certificate for Lisa Leonard’s Designs!  You’ll have to go and check out the beautiful jewelry she makes!

Being thankful definetely puts us in a better perspective of thought; It reminds us of what we have, who we have around us and helps us see beyond what is there and see what Our Heavenly Father sees as well..which is the best in us.

Praying right now!
Psalm 116:1-4 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

Hey girl...second time around. Just wanted to let you know you blessed me tonight with your comment. I just spent time with my friend Connie while we waited in the van for our girls...she knows the walk of loss and grief but she lives in knowing that Tyler is with the Lord...free of the pain...It's just so encouraging to be in the presence of that kind of faith...so as we talked about my other friend...we prayed..
what a blessing...

you are wonderful!

hugs,
lori

Great post.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment on my WFW post. I love the idea that usefulness is determined, not by the worth of the vessel, but the cleanliness of it. The Master has many to chose from, but He picks the one that keeps clean to use.

Love it. God is good. Blessings.

Know that I'm here praying!
Psalm 121:1-4 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Praying right now!
Psalm 121:5-8 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

The Lord knows everything that's going on and is always there, working. I'm here praying!
Hebrews 4:13-16 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Lifting up prayers!
Psalms 27:7-9 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me...thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
