Started the week off with a wonderful little surprise from my hubby. He stopped at the store for me after work to pick up a few things and brought these beautiful flowers. What a blessing! After 33 years, I still feel so giddy when he does sweet things like this.
With all the cold weather this winter, I’ve been enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate in the evenings. My sweet friend Cyndy blessed me with a wonderful assortment of hot chocolate mixes this Christmas, and I’m enjoying every one of them!
Finally made it back to the YMCA again. It has been 3 weeks since my last “hip-hop” class. It felt so good to get back into the routine and make time for some much needed exercise!!
My sweet granddaughter Grace lost her second tooth this week. She was so excited to show me. Oh how I love this toothless grin.
Well, it’s that time of the year again. You know what I mean…tax season. I am so blessed to have my husband to help sort things out. See that smile? It just comes natural to him. What a joyful, giving person he is, and I’m grateful to have a helpmate that makes our lives so much easier.
I was so excited that I got “Uncle Joel” to agree to let me take a picture of him with Grace. I am so blessed to be able to enjoy and capture these special moments.
Grace and I had a wonderful “girls day out”. We went to lunch, and then to mall for some retail therapy. She is growing up so quickly. I have to be careful when I blink my eyes that I don’t miss something. I cherish our special time together. I never had any grandparents growing up, so I looked forward to the day when I could be one myself.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Praying you have a great week ahead.

Wow! Uncle Joe is smiling! And your hubby smiling while doing taxes! Miracle week? :)
Joel smiles! And what a smile! You know I'm still praying!
Know that the Lord is always with you, wrapping His loving arms around you and holding on tight!
Psalms 18:2-6 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Yum to that hot chocolate. I need to buy some shipped cream! Hip hop class sounds fun.

Susan, You take such beautiful photos! They are all so good this week. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I think I'll have to pick Grace on Thursday. Really great week of photos!
Lovely photos Susan, you really are a great photographer. Have a lovely week further, we are dying of heat here in South Africa, unlike you guys in the US.
Your pictures are always so stunning wish I had a better camera. So sweet of your husband to bring you flowers and help with the taxes, noone likes to do those. His smile is so natural and happy. Your grandchildren are so lucky to have grandparents that are so involved with them. We only see ours once/twice a month, I need to go over there more often. The kids do grow up too quick don't they. My one daughter is 14 today and I wish she was your Grace's age again. Have a wonderful week.
Nice photos...and the fact that your husband is smiling while doing the taxes is always a good thing.
