Shopping With Grammy

On Friday my granddaughter came over to spend the weekend.

So, on Saturday,  her friend came over  and off we went for a trip to the mall.

After raising five sons, all this “girly fun” has become a new tradition around my house these days.

We were so surprised to see the LSU Tigers ladies volleyball team at the mall.  Oh my, the girls were thrilled to get everyone’s signature on their poster.  Great start to our day.

Then we were off to do their favorite thing - trying on clothes.  But first a pit stop in the make up department.  Girls do have to have look just right for a big fashion show, right?

Look Grammy, a perfume named after me!

Now…the real fun begins.  Time to try on a bunch of really pretty dresses. The dressing area was transformed to a runway.

Dress number two!

And another…

And another… Do you like this one Grammy?  Blue is my favorite color.

Or do you like this pink one better?

Choices…choices! Life has so many choices!

And after the show, one more quick shot with the mannequins, while checking to see what texts may have came in!

Then it was back out doors to enjoy the beautiful fall afternoon!

Now after all that hard work modeling, it was time for a frozen yogurt treat!

The theme for Texture Tuesday was Love…oh my, I just LOVE being a Grammy!

Know that I'm still here praying for your family!
2 Samuel 22:29-33 For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Spending the day with the girls - you are a lucky grammy. I miss mine - they live in Chicago - so far away. My eldest writes me (snail mail!) almost every week. That is great fun for me.

Your granddaughters are so cute. I would love to have girls to go shopping with. It's just not the same trying clothes on a boy (that would rather be anywhere else in the world than trying on clothes).

Continuing to lift up prayers!
Psalms 31:1-3 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
