Thought I’d join the holiday bokeh party!

Each year on the first weekend in December I gather with some of my closet friends and family for a Christmas luncheon.

Here I am with my dearest and faithful friend Cyndy.  Gosh…we go back  so many years.  What a treasure she has been to me.

Everyone says my sister and I look like twins.  So…what do you think?

My precious granddaughter Karli  celebrated her 5th birthday with us.  What a little doll!

She was so excited to blow out her candles.  Make a wish!

I’m really going to  work on getting everyone’s head in the picture next year!  There was a lot of women to pose for this shot.

Of course Grammy wanted to get a few shots of the girls in their fancy party dresses.  They were having so much fun.

And all they wanted to do was be silly!  Oh well…sometimes these moments are the best memories of all.

What a special thing to do! Glad you're able to get together!
Know that you're always in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 27:7-9 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

Your photos of this wonderful tradition are so fun! I do love that shot of Karli blowing out the candles! What a doll, and so cute of she and her friends. If you live anywhere that they have an American Girl Store, that is such a wonderful place to go with a darling little grandaughter. Check it out. Even worth flying somewhere to see!

Wonderful images Susan!! Family has a special place in my heart and I love to see series like these. You do like very much like your sister!
Sadly my eldest son (and his son & brand new daughter due any day now) will not be with us again for the Christmas season... It's so hard but my plan is to continue my spirit of gratitude anyway.

Gorgeous blog... I am your newest follower :)

I'm with you - silly photos give me the biggest smiles - of course, all your grandkids photos give me big smiles - they are so cute and you do such a terrific job! And what a gorgeous bokeh effect on the indoor nativity set. Lovely! What fun! I've looked for you in the last couple I've been in, but we kept missing - probably because I've spent so much of this month on the RUN :), so it was such a delight to get to visit. Have a blessed week and a wonderful Christmas. :)

Love your bokeh picture!

And the gathering looks like great fun! Our church hosts a ladies tea every year that brings families and friends together. Great event like this... but this year I'm making all the food {120 ladies!!!}.

Your granddaughters led a blessed life... you can tell in their smiles!
