I Dreamed A Dream

OK ladies…I had the dream of all dreams!  In it I was the owner of all of these beauties.  Can you imagine? Too bad I had to wake up and realize it was just a dream.

Well…a girl can still dream… right?  But, last weekend one dream did come true for me.   My sweet friend, neighbor and fellow phototog Debra went went me to the  Imaging USA Expo in New Orleans.

Talk about fun.  We walked around and saw so many amazing booths, all filled with everything a photographer would need.

We also got to see several booths of company’s we knew and have worked with or would love to work with.

Of course I was tempted more then once to make a purchase or two.  Oh they had the cutest camera straps at Adorama!

One of the last places we visited was Borrowed Lens.  I really love this company.  I’ve rented several lenses from them.  Debra caught this precious expression on my son’s face when he saw how  HUGE the lens on this camera was!  He just could not get over it.  In case you’re wondering, you can buy this lens for $10,000 dollars, or rent it for $250.00 a week.  Not bad if you’re going to the Super Bowl or a safari in Africa!

Well…it’s now time to wake up!

AWESOME, Susan! It looks like you guys had so much fun. Learning how to get around my camera and edit pictures needs to be my next big goal.. I'm just LOVING all of your beautiful photos! I also LOVE that expression on Jordan's face. Oh, my, that boy is just PRECIOUS! (We miss him so!) I think it's about time to start trying to talk Jordan into coming up and spending some time with his Mississippi family. Yes, hunting season is almost over so everything is pretty much back to normal here. (As normal as normal can be when it comes to my family.. HA!)

We love and miss you bunches!

Ah yes... so you have a similar dream, incredible expensive lenses LOL. Someone actually told me about renting a good lense for vacation and I'm going to do it this year! Maybe not that one for $10,000 LOL! Maybe a wee bit smaller haha!

Hi Susan! I laughed hysterically, as this would be my nightmare! ha! Really, my hubby bought me these 3 expensive and fancy lens, along with this fancy camera, and I'm strugglign to read DSLR for dummies and figure it all out. I love photography, but have been an auto click girl, but I'm growing. My pics don't reflect much growth yet, but progress :)
HOwever, I totally need a cool strap! I'd take that pink one, ha! I'm sure i'd take better pics and learn faster if I had it. :)
Sweet Blessings,
darci

And how do you hold that camera with that lens?! It's HUGE!
Know that you're always in my thoughts and prayers!
Isaiah 53:4-6 ¶Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
