Never Stop Growing

wfw-2008sm

Cole2

(my precious grandson Cole Dillon)

Paul writes: “I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But…I press on toward the goal” (vs.13-14). It’s inspiring when a leader shares with us his successes. But sometimes we’re helped more when he shares with us his struggles.

The truth is, young or old, we must never stop growing.  We are all faced with challenges each day.  Let’s continue to be real as we are learning  what God has called us to be.

I sure have a long way to go, but I know the direction in which I’m headed!

Join us today over at Christy’s Critty Joy  for more WFW posts!

The Lord is with you right now, lifting you up, giving you strength! Always praying!
Isaiah 40:27-31 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Blessings Susan...WOW...has that little one GROWN so much already?
Unreal! But so true your words & God's Word to encourage us to PRESS on & GROW!!! We press on! At least, we both seem to be headed in the right direction. Through each challenge, including Hurricanes, may we focus on the goal & the goal keeper, Our LORD! Love ya' and thanks for your visit and prayers for safety. I believe the strong winds & the eye passed over us in the early morn hours as I prayed.
Power & water problems but all else is well. Thank you!

Successes are always encouraging -- but the times of trouble have a way of providing thousands of times more encouragement... I guess that's encouragement right there to press on.

Susan, Yes he is a precious boy. I love what you write. Lately, I have been doing a study on contentment and newness. It is so encouraging that we must never stop growing in the Lord. I love that. It gives fresh perspective to me in a season when I struggle some days to see beyond the monotony of family life. I guess that in and of itself causes me to grow. Coming here to your blog was a breath of fresh air. Blessings sister, Laurie

Just when I think I have arrived and my 30 some odd years of being born again, I stumble ! I did not see that coming and once again I fall to my face and cry out as a child. How precious it is the way HE bring growth to us.. How precious it is how HE reminds us that it is in HIM that we live and move and have our being and always growing is a sign of maturity not weakness.. Took me a long time to learn that....

Praying for you right now!
Romans 5:1-4 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

Know that I'm here praying!
Romans 5:6-9 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
