A Special Promise... Just for You

Welcome to Word-filled Wednesday!

~Merry Christmas~

So blessed you could join us today. I'm delighted to be your hostess!

Immanuel

His name is Immanuel, "our God with us". The name is a promise, as He is the promise. It describles what He means, or what He can mean. He is with us, His is for us. He is Immanuel. He is our God. Long before His first coming it was nonetheless still His name. (Micheal Card)

Father, how can we ever thank you enough for this precious promise? Thank you for never leaving us, nor forsaking us through every circumstance we have faced or will ever face. Because of this great promise we will never be alone. You walk with us, you are there by our side, you dry ever tear from our eyes. You rejoice with us and sing over us. Make your self fully know to us O Immanuel!

No sweeter words. "God with us."

Not God down the block from us or God mildly interested in us...God WITH us.

Beautiful.

Blessings and Merry CHRISTmas Susan!

The promise I am holding on to and so thankful that you shared this: Our precious Emmanuel... so thankful HE is here with me...Love your prayer! Speaks my heart! Love Michael Card! The special promise I need...thank you!

Your WFW so beautifully points to HIM, Our Lord Jesus, that Wise men seek then and now...letters are wonderfully done & draw me to focus on JESUS: truly the reason for this season we celebrate and await.

Love, Peace & Joy surround you & yours during this CHRISTmas time,
(((hugs))) Peggy

Continuing to pray!
Psalms 46:10-11 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

I heard a lovely interpretation...literal Strong's translation of that verse on the radio tonight on route to the prayer meeting...and I could not manage to remember it...and it added some lovely depth.

I am so grateful that our God is with us! Thank you for a lovely reminder. And speaking of reminders, don't forget that you can download 25 free mp3 Christmas carols from Amazon, including several praise and worship Christmas songs. You can find the link at SandwichINK Thursday Twitter resources. :) In addition, I found another free one from Amazon, by Matt Maher. It's Silent Night with O Come O Come Emmanuel intertwined. It's really lovely. For that one, you can go to bit.ly/8jJyHw - don't type a www first. Or check out Twitter - @SandwichINK. I've posted it there as well :)

Thank you so much for hosting WFW! Merry Christmas!

Praying right now!
Isaiah 63:7-9: I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour. In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
