This past Monday my hubby and I took our grands out for a day of fun. We decided to go downtown to visit the museum, only to find it closed.
So, the girls decided they would do some modeling for me in front of the Old State Capitol.
It was now around noon, and the sun was getting pretty hot.
So we kept walking until I found some shade under some beautiful oak trees.
Then girls then wanted to climb the levee to see the Mississippi River.
While taking their pictures, a nice lady passed by and offered to take a shot of us all together! How sweet.
Then it was off to the the mall to have lunch. The girls love trying on clothes so they picked out some beautiful dresses to try on.
Oh Grammy, we’ll pretend we are at the ball!
Once we got back home they were excited to play with some new chalk they got for Easter. So Popsy was drafted to help draw a hopscotch for them!
Yep, there’s nothing like a fun game of hopscotch to end a perfect day! “Be careful Kayla, you can’t step on the lines”.
After raising five sons, pink has become my official favorite color these days!
We see a lot of it around my house. If I must say, my granddaughters look just beautiful in pink. All shades of pink!
There is nothing like a “pink tea party”!
Pink bows and shirts!
And I just love pink boas!
And now when Grammy shops for toys and shoes, well…pink is the only way to go!
OK, I think you get the picture, I LOVE PINK!!
I thought I’d just post some pictures we took over the week of Easter. It was just too hard to choose one photo per day so I decided to post some favorites.
Spent a nice day with our son Joel at the park.
I don’t have many pictures of Joel and I together, and I sure love seeing his smile.
We went to the Easter Saturday service. Grace was so excited to be part of the children’s program this year!
After church they had a huge Easter egg hunt. She was so happy to get all those eggs full of candy!
We went to my sister in law’s house on Easter Sunday. Cole wasn’t feeling that great, but I managed to get a little smile here. He’s just so cute! What can I say?
Karli having a great time on the swing. She’s my little baby doll!
My beautiful Kayla. I can’t get enough of that precious smile.
It’s hard to believe how grown up Grace is becoming. It seems like yesterday we were anxiously awaiting her arrival!
The girls just adore Shannon, my son Joseph’s beautiful girlfriend.
We sure enjoy having Joseph home again!
Justin and Grace!
Having fun with daddy and Casey.
Jason and Karli.
Uncle Joe and Kayla cutting up!
My little bathing beauty.
The girls with their cousin Catie.
Grammy and her girls!
Thanks so much for dropping by!
I thought I’d join in for my first time at You Capture. The theme this week is Spring!
Down here in the south there are signs everywhere that the winter is past and Spring has come!
Flowers are beginning to bloom everywhere!
At the mall you’ll find the bunny waiting to give a hug to some very excited children.
Time to take out the bathing suits and fun playing in the backyard sprinkler.
Seeing new growth in the gardens.
And of course those April showers in the afternoon.
And what could be more fun than chasing bubbles on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
Thanks for stopping by today, Happy Spring to you!
Well it’s official. I’m a proud card carrying Grammy and loving every minute of it. Gosh, I never could have dreamed how much joy these children would bring into my life.
After a quick pose, it was time for the fun to finally begin…blowing bubbles!
After trying to find some decent shade by the lake in the middle of the day the bubbles were finally let lose!
Oh my, you would never know how much excitement a few bubbles can bring. It is so true when Jesus said, “Unless you become as one of these little ones…”
Look Grammy, I can catch this one!
Now Grammy, don’t you think I’m just adorable?
I’m having a blast!
A big bubble just for me.
Look Grammy I can hop over this one…
