Earlier today Heather @Mumblings of a Mommy Monk tagged me with this meme. I've really enjoy visiting Heather's blog daily. Normally I do not like doing this, but since she was so kind to think of me, I will oblige. OK, here goes.
The rules for this meme are: (1) Link to the person that tagged you. (2) Post the rules on your blog. (3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. (4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. (5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
1) When I was a little girl, I always wanted to wear glasses. In the 5th grade I cheated on my school's eye screening exam. I got past the nurse, but could not fool the optometrist. Now I can't do anything without my glasses.
2) I began playing the flute in the 4th grade and was in the marching band all the way through High School. It is still one of my favorite instruments to listen to.
3) When I was 17 I met Paul McCartney. Oh boy, now that was a thrill. He was recording an album at a studio close by to my home. I went there everyday after school to see him. After a few weeks, he actually got to know me by name!
4) I live way down south in Dixie surrounded by water, but do not eat seafood! Not even these little creatures... 
5) One of my son's once found a little hairless creature in the yard and brought it in to show me. At first I thought it was a rat. Since I am so afraid of rats, I took it to our vet to discover it was a baby squirrel. I fell in love with him, and for weeks had to wake up all during the night to feed "Squeaky" with an eye-dropper. We ended up having him as a pet for over 2 years. You don't want to know the rest of this story. 
6) I've been on four mission trips. Three church planting trips to Russia, and one trip to Haiti. These were life-changing events.

Okay Susan, you win. I have stayed away from these meme's all year...but for YOU...I did this one. Now it's out in the open...I am weird! It's official! I finished...am posting in about 3 minutes!

I loved your responses to this meme. I wonder, could you have become Mrs. Sir Paul McCartney??? (You're probably glad you didn't!) I had a huge crush on Paul too!
I can't believe you cheated on an eye exam... to GET glasses. Yes, the flute is a beautiful instrument. Our daughter plays it well too.
Please blog about your mission trips, if you haven't already. I'd LOVE to learn more about your experiences. (We're currently involved with a pastor in Moscow, Russia and one of my favorite bloggers is in Haiti.)
