The Day of the Shofar!

At sundown today the Jewish New Year begins, Rosh Hashanah!

The most obvious distinguishing feature of Rosh Hashanah is the blowing of the shofar, or ram's horn. The Biblical name for this holiday is in fact Zichron Teruah (Remembrance of the shofar blast), or Yom Teruah. (Day of the shofar blast). In some English Bibles it is called The Feast of Trumpets.

As the Jews celebrate this holy solemn and day, I'd like to share a great song with you.

(Please remember to mute my music first, thanks!!)

This is day we long for and eagerly await as our Risen Messiah comes for his glorious bride.

Be blessed and enjoy!!

Susan,

Behold He comes! Praise the Lord. I love this song. I enjoyed seeing the banners waving and the worship....how I will love seeing Him riding on the clouds at the trumpets call!

Blessings to you...thank you so much for sharing this amazing video with us today!

Love the picture of the horn. What a great video to go with it! It is neat to be grafted in as a child of Abraham!!

Hello, my FRIEND!

You are TOO PRECIOUS! I wish I were as good as you are about acknowledging so many great things. How much more awesome than to celebrate our Christian heritage? (Yes, I realize I'm not "technically" a Jew, but I'm SO BLESSED to say I'm "ADOPTED" into GOD'S great big family!)

I'm really starting to have "Susan withdrawals," one of the two of us is going to have to make a drive towards the other soon.. hehehe

Oh, and nice game the other night huh?? I was sad to see our "Dawgs" lose, but was SO HAPPY that your team didn't run SMOOTH over us.

Susan, thanks for sharing about Rosh Hashanah, and thanks for the wonderful video! I long for the day of Christ's return! Praise Him for grafting us in with His chosen ones, the Jews.

Thank you for your prayers for Sandy.. I spoke with Sandy and I told her that there are many beautiful ladies praying for her.. She is in good spirits, her husband is not doing as well as she is.. I spoke with him and he has to take the baby home today..... New Father with new baby and wife facing open heart surgery is a tough pill to swallow........ Remember David when you pray.....

I too posted about the Day of the Shofar this morning...... Hope you took time to read.......
