Divide it Right…

WFWlogo

Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth 2 Tim. 2:15 amp.

Maybe you are like me and have often wondered, “What can I do to show God how much I really want to please Him?”

In the second letter to Timothy, Paul helps us to see what brings pleasure to the heart of God.   Is it not those who labor in His Word to gain knowledge and wisdom?  Who can skillfully handle truth and have proven it to be true in the trials of life?

Yes, these are the ones in whom He delights, the ones he calls his “Approved”.

Press in precious saints of God.  Let nothing keep you from becoming a seeker of truth and a workman of the Word.   The blessing of the Lord will follow you all the days of your life.

Please join us over at the Cafe today for more WFW.

I found another neat blog that is hosting a A Scripture and a Snapshot.

Blessings my dear Susan,

Long time since I've been around here and my, how those precious loves of your life are growing! And your photographic skills! Awesome! This is where you have disappeared to... the world of the lens!!! Fantastic photos!

She is a PRECIOUS example of "show yourself approved"... with her Bible in hand and such a contemplative look! Each one of these are a true expression of God surrounding you with His love & in His Word!

Your devotions are always spot on..
seeking His truth, pressing on in His Word! I know you are pleasing the heart of God. You always warm my heart!

(((hugs))) peace & love,
Peggy

Hi susan,
I came here yesterday, I was in a hurry.....so here I am today. Very nice of you to come to my blog and introduce your self.
Beautiful thoughts to go along with a very sweet shot.
So many in our day, believe that worship (music) is the highest form of praise, but actually this word when translated correctly from the Hebrew and Judaic culture, it means study. "The highest form of worship is study".
Many blessings to you, and I am connecting your blog to my reader.

Well, I'm having trouble seeing the picture... it won't download. But no trouble in receiving the good word of your heart! Nothing finer than knowing God and having the secrets of his heart revealed to me. How precious are his thoughts; how vast the sum of them!

You keep to it as well, friend.

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Thanks for inspiring me today. I have Bible study tomorrow and a lot of "catching up" to do for the week in my readings and teachings. This is challenging for me and your post today hit home for me.
Thanks...and peace and blessings to your day!

Praying right now!
Romans 8:31-32 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Know that I'm always here praying!
Romans 8:35, 37-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
