No Day Off

Scripture

Aren't you glad that God doesn't take the day off?

We recently had some trying times in our family and our faith was put to the test.

I was reminded of this scripture each night when I prayed.

When the disciples were out on the storm-tossed Sea of Galilee with the wind howling and the waves raging, they panicked.

Jesus was asleep in the lower part of the boat. But the interesting thing is that the waves did not wake Jesus. The storm did not wake Jesus.

But the cries of His own people woke Him when they said, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"  (Matthew 8:25).

God is always listening for the cry of His children, just as parents listen for their children.

The good news is that God is never late. He is tuned in to your cries, to your hurts, and to your pains.  He doesn't slumber or sleep.

Still praying for Rick's recovery!
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

That's so true - God's timing is always the best timing.

May the Lord bless you and your loved ones in the coming week.

Heavenly Father, I'm so grateful that You never slumber or sleep! Thank You for this Word and Promise given to my dear sister Susan as she pressed through the test and trials of her recent storm... and held on to You!

Be with Susan and her family and heal the hurt, lessen the time of this trial and make short the time to recover and be well in You! You are the One who controls the sea, the waves, the raging storms and brings the calm. Bring peace and comfort as You reassure Susan and hers that You are there, You never sleep and You never slumber. Thank You for never tiring of hearing our prayers. Thank You for being faithful. You are able! You are mighty! You are with Susan and her family, holding them and bringing comfort as You hear their "cry" or current need... You have the answer!

Thank You for THE POWER OF YOUR LOVE and Susan's visit and her sweet words for me there.
